A recent strain of the 7pot/pod variety is the “7pot/pod Barrakpore”, named after the region of Barrackpore on the Caribbean Island of Trinidad. It was first distributed from Trinidad to the rest of the world in 2009 by a grower from Trinidad who goes by the name of “Trinniecoolieboy”. This variety has an elongated body shape, more so than other 7pot/pod strains. A very prolific plant producing many pods each season, this plant can grow to an average height of around 1 meter or 4 feet. The pod size averages 5cm x 2cm and has nice fruity flavour, with a very high Scoville rating of around 1,000,070 scoville units
